SPOT THE SUBS

Spot the subscriptions hiding in your card statement — and what they cost you a year

Export a CSV from your bank or credit-card issuer and drop it here. Recurfind finds the charges that repeat — same merchant, regular interval — and lists each one with its yearly cost, next expected charge, and any price increases you might have missed.

How Recurfind works: CSV document, parsing step, grouping step, detection, results table — all in the browser
Your statement CSV → parse & normalize → detect intervals & amounts → results with yearly costs and price-change flags

01 HOW IT WORKS

Four steps from statement to subscription list — no upload, no account.

EXPORT YOUR STATEMENT

Your bank or card issuer lets you download recent transactions as a CSV. Every bank uses different column names and formats — Recurfind recognises the common ones and adapts. If the auto-detect is uncertain, you can check the mapping before proceeding.

DROP IT ON THE PAGE

The file is read directly from your filesystem by JavaScript in your browser. It is never uploaded, never stored, never sent over a network. The page works offline after the first load. This privacy guarantee is structural, not a promise in fine print.

REVIEW THE DETECTIONS

Recurfind groups charges by merchant using fuzzy name matching — “NETFLIX.COM” and “Netflix” are recognised as the same subscription. It detects the interval (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and calculates the annual cost. Subscriptions whose amount changed over the statement period are highlighted in amber and shown first, because those are the ones most people miss.

DECIDE AND EXPORT

Mark each subscription as keep or cancel. Expand any row to see the exact transaction lines it was inferred from — nothing is hidden, no black-box grouping. Download the complete analysis as a CSV when you are done.

02 WHAT IT COSTS

Free. No signup, no account, no credit card.

Recurfind runs entirely in your browser on a single page load. There is no server to subscribe to, no API tier, no usage limit. The analysis algorithm is ordinary JavaScript — no paid service, no third-party API, no hidden charge.

If you find it useful, tell someone else who has a card statement and a hunch they are paying for things they forgot about. That is the only form of payment that matters here.

03 WHAT IT WILL NOT DO

Honest limits, stated plainly.

WHY TRUST IT

Your transaction data does not travel over a network.

There is no upload endpoint on this page. The JavaScript file that contains the analysis engine ships with the page and runs in your browser process. The CSV you select is read by the browser’s file API (Blob.text()) and processed in memory. The only outgoing request the page makes is the one that loaded it. You can verify this by watching the network tab in your browser while you use the tool — zero POST requests after initial load.

If your browser has a privacy extension that blocks automatic downloads, use the Copy button or select the table cells manually.
